At First Class Home Care, we believe that your family is our family. We take the time to get to know your loved one as an individual so that we can meet their needs in a way that shows that we care. It can be difficult for our clients to accept help, but by paying attention to the subtle details, we are able to make the individuals that we serve feel cherished and respected. We provide a wide range of services to help seniors improve their quality of life including Personal Care, Home Support, Companionship, Respite Care, Rehabilitation Services, Social Transportation and Mobile Foot Care.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia
While the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are difficult for individuals and their families, with proper support they can maintain their independence and significantly improve their quality of life. We believe that the journey of Alzheimer’s and Dementia should not be travelled alone. We provide a “Gentle Persuasive Approach” that allows individuals to continue working towards their goals and living a meaningful life. Our services include a complimentary assessment, a ‘Life Enriched Care Plan’ customized to the individual interests and needs of each client, assistance with daily activities, and recreational activities to encourage positive relationships and engagement in the community.
Falls/Seniors Aging
Falls can cause serious injuries and can even be life threatening. After a senior falls once, they are more susceptible to future falls. We can help address injuries from falls and make a plan to decrease any future incidents.
Palliative Care
When individuals and families are living with the advanced stages of a life threatening illness, our priority is to manage symptoms to achieve the best quality of life for as long as possible. This includes: carefully monitoring physical symptoms such as pain, discomfort, nausea or loss of appetite; considering the individual’s emotional, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs; supporting family members when necessary; and ensuring that all care is respectful and supportive of the individual’s dignity.
Caring for elderly parents on your own can be physically and emotionally draining, but you don’t have to do it alone. We are here to support you in helping your loved one to provide them with the best quality of care possible.
