What I Do

Personal Care/ Home Support Services

Our approach to developing our in home health support and personal care plan is based on the needs of our client. As part of initial health assessment we will also perform a safety and risk assessment that provides us with a clear picture as to the overall needs of our clients. We are there to assist in whatever we can while respecting the wishes of our clients and their homes. Our Personal Care Managers have been hand picked for their high level of professionalism, attention to detail, empathy and kindness. We endeavour to match our Managers with the client in mind so that a healthy and benefical relationship is developed and maintained.

Home Support

Everyone wants to have a clean and tidy home. However we do realize that there may come a time in one’s life that keeping up with the daily chores of the home is far too difficult and cumbersome. Our in home health Care Managers are here to help. Whether it be to wash a few loads of laundry, clean and put away some dishes or tidy up your bathroom. We will treat your home as ours all, the while respecting our clients on how they like those tasks completed. No one likes it when they can’t find their favourite coffee mug. We’ll be sure to store it exactly where you like it to be.

Companionship

One of the last things a senior may think they need is a companion. However, studies show that health is not only directly tied into proper exercise and nutrition but also from an emotional well-being and psychological standpoint, human connections. With family and personal life being so hectic, this generation of children may not have the time they would like to have to spend with their aging parents. Their parents friends are also aging and may not have the ability to go out and spend much time with others as well, leaving the aging parent alone for long periods of time. We at First Class Home Care see companionship as a gift to all parties involved. This means, that our in home health, Care Managers receive just as much in return for this new found friendship and over time the connection becomes very strong and provides so many positives in terms of health and well-being. Our goal is to become a vital extension of your family and help support you in your care or the care of a loved one.

Social Transportation

A significant part of elderly care includes medical/social transportation escorts. We can help facilitate an engaging lifestyle by offering transportation services for medical appointments or for social activity transportation services such as grocery shopping, banking or visiting a friend.

Who could I trust that my mother would get the care she needed? After investigating various agencies …I contacted First Class Home Care and had a long conversation with the owner…Terri-Lynne Rade. She promised to visit my mother immediately and assess her situation. Within days she got back to me w…
